There is currently a low pressure disturbance over the south-central Gulf of Mexico that has the potential to become a tropical system and impact the Texas coast later this week.
The Texas Governor’s office has issued the following statement, “In light of recent heavy rainfall across the state, we are on high-alert as any additional rain could quickly create dangerous flash flooding conditions. I urge all Texans to take precautions and review their emergency plans now to prepare for any potential impact to their community.”
We recommend that properties on/near the Texas Gulf Coast closely monitor this disturbance throughout the week via news outlets or the National Hurricane Center (https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/). We also encourage all properties to review the disaster preparedness tips found in the full ListServ #186: https://conta.cc/2CWewW6.
